High Resolution Prototyping with Uplift Summit International Students, May 2018
The MakerTruck made its way over to Arlington to work with 4th and 5th graders from Uplift Summer International Academy recently. The students had been working on a design challenge all year -- How might you improve the playground? They interviewed their peers, made observations, defined the problem and opportunities, brainstormed solutions and prototyped their solution using cardboard, straws and tape. When the MakerTruck came, students were able to use the laser cutter, power tools, clay, paint and a hot knife for cutting foam. They created more refined models of their ideas to share with their school community.
